How to Fix iPad No SIM Installed Error – Tutorial

| 0 komentar

At a time when people use their tablets more than their personal computers, the iPad has become a necessity. However, you have not many things to do with your tablet if you do not have an internet connection. In this case, the SIM card seems to be the right answer especially when you are on the move.

Nevertheless, when No SIM installed error appear on iPad or even iPhone; things might become pretty frustrating for some, especially if you do not know the cause or the solution for that particular problem.

When your iPad does not recognize the SIM card, there are multiple causes for this issue. Here, I want to show you some possible situations when the iPad no longer recognizes the SIM card, and some useful solutions for you to try them out. Therefore, when your iPad displays the No SIM installed error, it might happen due to a misplacement of the SIM card inside the device, a damaged SIM card, a faulty SIM card reader, and in some cases, an improper jailbreak process.

No SIM Installed Error Fix

1. Damaged SIM card or SIM card Reader

In case you own a pretty damaged SIM card, the card might stop functioning any time for one reason or another. You need to check to see if the SIM Card is looking well, insert it in another device to check its validity. If the card does not work on any other device, the SIM card is the problem, and you need to replace it. If the problem still persists, you should check the following alternative solutions.

In case of a damaged SIM card reader, the reader might not detect the SIM card and the iPad will display the NO SIM installed error. In this case, the only solution is to replace the SIM card reader.

2. Unsupported SIM card

Sometimes, the respective device does not support the SIM card inserted. There are some SIM cards designed for some device while other cards support other devices.  As you know, when you purchase an Apple product with a two-year contract, you sign the contract with AT&T, Verizon or T-Mobile. When using another SIM card, the device displays the NO SIM card installed message. For an invalid SIM card, the iPad has to be unlocked via IMEI unlock. The method is cheap and permanent.

3. Weak Signal Problem

Apparently, for some users, the NO SIM installed error appears due to a weak signal. For this, solution is pretty easy. Turn on the Airplane Mode for 20 seconds and then turn it off. The next step is to reset Network Settings. For this, you need to go to General, Settings, Reset and Reset Network Options. Remove the SIM card for a while and then place it back. This should fix the weak signal problem.

 4. Downgrading Error

For those of you who accidentally upgrade the iOS version to a different firmware, which it cannot be jailbroken, the upgrade might become a terrible thing. In this case, the only solution is to downgrade to an earlier iOS version and to a lower baseband. Some users suggest that the process of downgrading might become a little bit uncomfortable when the device is no longer able to read the SIM Card information. In this case, a restore, and an IMEI unlock represents the solution.

However, for this, you need iTunes 11, IPSW saved for your iPad and a supported SIM card.
Here is what you need to do:

tep 1: Download and install iTunes on your computer.
Step 2: Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable.
Step 3: Press and hold Shift and click Restore.
Step 4: Select the iOS 6.1.3 IPSW for your iPad and click on OK.
Step 5: After the restore process is complete, the iPad will recognize the SIM card.

If you encounter the NO SIM installed error on your iPad, you should try out these solutions to spot the problem and to fix it. Take one by one until the problem is solved. When a solution does not offer any result, try another one. Keep in mind that the NO SIM installed Error is fixable and in an easy way.
